These friendly little fellows are already familiar with my presence, but as I am always accompanied by my dogs they usually raise their tuft and fly to the nearest tree when one of them approaches them.
Estos simpáticos amiguitos ya están acostumbrados a mi presencia, pero como siempre voy acompañada de mis perros suelen levantar el copete y volar hacia el árbol más cercano cuando uno de estos se les acerca.
I have even seen how thrushes being parasitic birds of this species have left eggs in nests of the rufous and later I have seen a rufous mother raising her adopted son, a thrush.
He llegado a ver como los tordos siendo aves parasitarias de esta especie han dejado huevos en nidos de chingolos y posteriormente he visto a una madre chingolo criando de su hijo adoptivo, un tordo.
The rufous-collared Sparrow and her -not that tiny- shiny cowbird son (Molothrus bonariensis).

One of them got to spend time at home by himself as he grew up nearby, because of his sound I named him "Chip".
Uno de ellos llegó a pasar tiempo en casa por su cuenta ya que creció cerca, debido a su sonido le puse "Chip".

Seeing them makes me very happy, their colors, the way their tufts rise when they are alert, and how they relax when notice there is no danger.
