Am I a SteemLeo orca? (an introduction)

I'm glad I've been looking at PALnet so seriously because equal number of LEO tokens were airdropped to me yesterday. I went to check my Steem Engine wallet and there they were, all 50484 of them... I looked at the price and it was 0. Didn't know what to do with them yet so I staked them right away. Then I did a little research and found out it's a Steem-based platform to discuss investing-related things. I think it's pretty nice for investors to have now a dedicated community to gather and discuss the things they love or hate.

Since I'm an investor, I think I'll find my place here.

I've been curious about investment for quite a few years now because it seemed it's one of the few ways to achieve financial independence in the future and (escape 9-5 rat race). But traditional investment in stocks in our country requires approval of the spouse and my wife @laputis is rather cautious about those things. No means no.

But then in the summer or 2017 I first heard about the crypto from Tim Ferriss podcast. Naturally became curious but didn't do anything. Then early September of that year James Altucher talked about that in his podcast and I became hooked.

Invested a little bit of money into BTC first. Then lost it in some scam promising 3.5 % daily returns. Sigh... Lesson learned.

Then I looked up for crypto industry podcasts because I like to listen in my ear when I'm doing other things. Found Bad Crypto Podcast.

This led me to invest into some coins from top 10 at the time. Then through Bad Crypto Podcast found out about Stellar Lumens and bought some of those.

I became aware about Steem quite early - through Changely broker service. I was looking for Stellar and when I typed ST, the first hit was STEEM. I didn't follow up on that information at that time, though.

Then I saw an article about Steem on Medium from @stellabelle (where is she now?) and signed up right away. Didn't get my password for 2 weeks like most of us here. Then I came to enthusiastic chilling videos of Jerry Banfield... Remember him? I hope not, haha!

Since earning was so slow and I didn't earn any attention of the whales with my silly Pinky and Spiky comics, I bought some STEEM to improve my foundation on the blockchain. When I became comfortable and more curious how the platform works, I invested some more.

Now I'm a Steem, PALnet and apparently SteemLeo orca...

PS I've just remembered that I first heard about Bitcoin when it was worth $500. Saw an ad on a taxi cab saying that they accept bitcoin. Again became curious, looked up online and wanted to buy it. But... back then there wasn't an easy way to buy it from Lithuania... Had I had a chance to buy, I doubt I would have had the stomach to keep it through all the FOMO and FUD. Bitcoin is dead, remember? Heard that before like 100 times.
