Well, at least I intended to. Why?
Problem: Display flickering. A video would speak better about it but here's a picture:
It messes up the display enough so that I could even have my passwords in there and still feel safe to upload the picture.
This issue has been going for quite a while but at the beginning I could cure it with just moving the display a bit. When it got annoyingly worse I took it to the best repair guy around suspecting the display's solder joints. He redid them all and the laptop worked perfect at his place. Two days later I had the same issue though. Which reminded me that when I opened it myself at some point it was again OK for a couple of days.
Blaming myself for sideways directing the guy to the wrong direction (though obviously not all the fault is on my side, not even most of it) I decided to seek further for the culprit. Since the display was curing/worsening itself at specific motions/positions of the display I started suspecting the cable. After removing the plastic cover to expose it I found out that by moving it and not the display it made a difference. Here is the spot of the cable I was doing my trials:
It also makes sense since this is the spot where the cable is stretched the most. I thought of alternative ways to route the cable but laptops are VERY tight as you know and I just went shopping for a new one. And I got this one:
So, operation time!

As you can see I have removed the original rubbers cause they cover two screws. Also because they had too much friction for my taste so every time I wanted to move my laptop I had to lift it. At this point I have a tip for you: The best combo (and I wonder why manufacturers don't do it like that) is to put high friction ones in the front and sliding ones in the rear. This way your laptop stays stable but if you want to move it you just push/pull from the front without lifting it all. Best of both worlds. I had it like this but after extensive travelling the rubber stickers I used got unglued and I temporarily roughly put the ones you see. But as we say here "nothing more permanent than temporary" so they're still there. Oh, this way you can also give to your laptop the desired inclination on its keyboard. Plus more ventilation since you increse its clearance. Come on guys, with a cost of a few cents I gave you a tip that has a world of advantages!
Back to the surgery - laptop open:
It's always a good idea to put your screws in the same order as you take them off. Saves time from searching which goes where plus saves potential damage from the less handy ones who might misplace them.

I took a closer look and I also found slight differences in the colours of their cables. They're too tiny to picture but imagine something like one has the red on one end and the other has it in the middle. So I decided to contact the shop and ask them if they are compatible and they said "better not risk it to avoid shorting the motherboard". They don't have the exact cable I need so I have applied for a refund. I can't find it anywhere else unfortunately so in case anyone knows a European source for a DD0XKGLC001 cable please let me know.
Till then I still use my laptop but most of the times it is plugged into a 43" 4K display so I don't mind. I just have to find the "clear" spot of its display when I use it as a laptop :) Besides, you got the chance to see in full nudity the machine where my magic comes from haha.
