One very simple thing is wrong with crypto. It's a simple thing really. We've just overlooked it. You see my friends we've gone from a world of Friendster & MySpace having "under construction" signs. Eventually we all came to the consensus that web pages were these evolving living things that don't always work perfectly. Now we have crypto currencies that refuse to part with their "beta" signs. Now a new crypto that just hit the market has no beta sign, but some that've been around for a while do.
Maybe using betaware makes us feel special? Perhaps for some, "crypto" isn't exclusive enough? When do we begin to peel the banana? Strip away the garbage and get down to brass tax? Ongoing constantly evolving crypto projects are going to have issues. If you don't know that you're blind.
Why did I say it just that way? Once upon a time you could write perfect code. Computers catered to a smaller group, less were in use then. They all ran one OS. Today however our OS's run several layers of code at the same time. HTML talks to CSS to eloquently deliver us our choice of Java, Ruby, Python, SQL & scripting languages. That's just in a browser...
Microsoft builds things the same but Apple and Android keep attempting to upgrade the market space. All in the hopes of making things faster, simpler & better. New languages are used i.e. Swift, while others get upgraded i.e. Flash or left behind. Thank you Steve Jobs. Meanwhile our programmers have gone from doing the box step, to ballerina to dancing with the stars. Unlimited came out with very few "beta" signs, meanwhile Gnoses is taking all of Augur's fame. Are the better devs simply moving on & not taking their "beta" signs with them?
If it doesn't work we can get it fixed. So the "need" for a beta sign is what? Status? The "cool" factor?
