Hi Dear Parishioners of Steemchurch International, we should understand that we cannot by-pass our Savior Jesus Christ in all things that we do, He is our channel who links all our request and needs to God Almighty. The Book of Saint John 1:3 says that: "All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made."
Our God Almighty has given him the authority to control all affairs of our lives because He humbled himself and obeyed God by laying his life to save our sins. He has the authority to counsel us. He has the authority to deliver us from all troubles we are facing on this Earth. God has placed him on this Earth to be our intermediary and handle all things that is beyond our capabilities to solve.
Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)
"Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
There are many of us who forget of even mentioning the name of Jesus Christ when they are in pain, trouble or dangers. Some even make mockery of Jesus name and say that Jesus Christ did not even die. There are many people too who are saved through sickness and other things that could have ended them in death who do not recognise the name of Jesus Christ. But, before we submit our petitions to God, they must be channel through Jesus Christ. Because, God has sanctified him through all men.
Ephesians 5:20 (NIV)
"always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."
In all things we should let Jesus Christ lead us so that we can be saved. This morning, Jesus Christ has something to offer for us in life, let us remember him and give thanks to the Almighty God through him, Amen!
