What is GHANA CARD?
GHANA CARD is a recognised National Identity Card that has been approved by ECOWAS to be used by all Ghanaian Citizens. The registeration of this Ghana Card started this year, organising at the regional basis. Greater Accra-Accra, being the Capital City of Ghana conducted this exercise in July 2019. Now, the NIA workers are in Ashanti, haven trained a lot of personnel to register this Ghana Card from the age 15 above. So, that later, centres would be created in various District Capitals for people to register for their Ghana Card at their own comfort. The beginning of every exercise is very difficult, though Ghana made atremp of registering this this NIA Card somewhere 2012, but it couldn't be successful. So, the strive ti come out with this one has been a little bit slow. Ghanaians have to join a long queue before they receive their card. In the course of registering, you will join a queue and the collecting of the Card, you've to again join the queue. I believe when the offices are instituted, things will change.
The benefit of This GHANA CARD To The Ghanaian Citizens
Like the US use "GREEN CARD," and other Nations in similar way use their recognized ID Cards the shows that you'r indeed the Citizen of that Nation. In the same way, Ghanaian is going to benefit by knowing the number of Ghanaians Citizens and Non-Ghanaian Citizens. Something like criminal offenses such as robbery, frauds, kill and many social vices are going to strictly monitored base on this Ghana Card. The Ghana Card will also going to check who enters the Country and who leaves the Country. One important thing that I see about this Ghana Card is aiding the conduct free and fair elections, because, there have been many instances that Ghanaians have complained about blotting of bilot papers and out numbered or inflated of registered voters. This Ghana Card would be best to check all those who aren't the real Citizens but would rather vote to cause violence and unfairness in elections.
