1 Corinthians 13:11 (NIV)
"When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.
Beloved, when we were children we might have taken childish decisions, our thoughts plans were maybe geared towards material things that wouldn't bring salvation for our souls. We were may be planning things big in life, things that bring wealth. We were planning to have best of life for worthy living with our families so that we do not famble in this hardship economy. We would agree that any thing relating to acquiring materials things in life that go contrary to the principle of God isn't desirable by God and as such isn't Christian thought.
Apostle Paul by this Scripture demonstrated that, at first his thoughts & reasons were geared towards what would pleased human and the World. That was indeed childish thought. Apostle Paul believed what men were to say than God, not until he realised his mistakes and began to follow Christ, lately witnessing for Christ in a holistic manner. There is a Christian way of thinking when you begin to accept Christ. All the childish thinking begin to evaporate from your thoughts, and you start to reason like adult(Christian). There are many people, though adult, yet reason like a child since they haven't been well informed with the spirit of God like what Apostle Paul was experiencing.
We need to take up charge of Christian thoughts & reasoning and like Christians seeking Salvation. Christian way of thoughts is all about things that lead to Salvation, but not ideas that will end him in this World. We can have much, what can cater for us in this World, but that isn't necessary for our souls in this life. We can acquire all mansions, cars, money, lands, wives and husbands, yet we can fail to enter the Kingdom of God, because that wasn't the right things God was looking for in this life. Christians must always seek things above, because, those whoever embed their hopes in God think that they might suffer here on Earth but in Heaven they might enjoy. Even if you happen to be a child on this World, but you reason like an adult in Christian way, we assume you to be an adult in Christianity. That was what happened to Jesus Christ in his younger age, standing in front of elders delieving the message of the Kingdom of God & the Salvation. Therefore we should reason like an adult not like a child in Christianity. Thanks for your thoughts and reasoning like Christians.
