行ってきました！東海道４７番目の宿場！【関宿】
The Tokaido route connects Edo (modern day Tokyo) and Osaka, and has historically been the most important route in Japan. While the route is now followed by the Tokaido bullet train, this area used to be an important intersection when people took the journey by foot. Fun fact, apparently the trip from Kyoto to Edo took up to 18 days back in the Edo-era as opposed to the nice 2.5 hours of today. Seki is the 47th station of the Tokaido route, and served a major role on both the route and in the area.

Go left for Kyoto or right for Edo (Tokyo). Think I'll stay here a little while...
