“Move out of the way” a familiar voice screamed.
I looked around the crowded hallway to find who said that but seeing as the hallway was crowded I saw no one.
“Move” move” move out of the way” the voice screamed again.
This time it was closer, and just on cue, I saw people trying to make way for whoever was running.
The culprit suddenly tackled me to the ground, and a big smile formed on my face

“Mabel you crazy girl,” I said to my best friend in the whole world.
“Zaya I have missed you so much” she replied.

“What do you mean you missed me
You saw me yesterday and the day before” I said.
“I haven’t seen you in hours don’t you miss me?” She asked
“Of course, I missed you crazy girl,” I said with a little laugh.
Mabel is my best friend, we have been best friends since elementary school now we are seniors in high school and are pretty much inseparable.
we heard the bell ring signaling that it was time to go to class. Mabel and I had the same school schedule so we had all our classes together which was pretty cool I get to stay with my best friend all day long.
“Bang” bang” bang” the loud sound startled us.
while walking to class, we heard a loud bang. It sounded like something hit a locker.
“What's that,” Mabel asked.
“I have no idea” I replied.
Out of curiosity, we went towards the direction of the sound to know what was going on.
“I’m sorry I won’t say it again” we heard a shaky voice say.
“I warned you not to mention her name again,” Another voice said.
The evident anger in the deep voice made me scared a little bit. Mabel and I were peeping to see but also careful not to be seen, his back was facing us so I couldn’t see his face. He is tall and muscular I couldn’t wait to see his face.
“Zaya we should go” Mabel interrupted my thought with a whisper.
“We can’t just leave them here
We don’t know what he is capable of doing” I replied with a whisper.
He threw the other boy towards where we were peeping from and I saw the most beautiful pair of brown eyes I have ever seen.
“What are you looking at, you should leave,” a deep voice said sending chills down my spine.
I was distracted by his eyes and the sound of his voice directed at me when Mabel nudged me lightly and that broke me out of my dream world.

“What you are doing isn’t right, bullying someone you are bigger than is wrong
Why don’t you pick on someone your size” I responded managing to get my composure back.
He took long strides toward me, soon he was standing face-to-face with me. I was in awe completely taken off guard by him coming close to me, my heart started beating very loudly and not out of fear.
“Darling I suggest you leave now,” he said in a tone suggesting he wasn’t asking but telling._
Before I could compose myself to say anything, Mabel pulled me away from the scene and towards the direction of our class which we were late for.
“Why did you do that,” I said to Mabel.
“You were frozen and weren’t able to speak“ she replied.
“Frozen? What do you mean frozen, I was not frozen” I responded.
“Alright zaya whatever helps you sleep at night,” she said.
“I wasn’t frozen,” I said to her while we were getting into the class.
“Nice of you to join us ladies please have your seats before I change my mind and send you out,” the teacher said to us.
We hurriedly went to our seats to avoid any altercations with the teacher.
We went through our classes one after the other, soon it was lunch break and we went to the cafeteria to get something to eat.
“What will you be getting?” the lunch lady asked.
“I’ll have two slices of pizza and a coke
Same with her” I said to the lunch lady ordering for Mabel and me.
Almost immediately we got our food and got seated in the cafeteria to eat.
“He is staring at you” Mabel whispered.
“Hm who?’ I asked.
“The guy from the hallway earlier “ she replied.
“Where?” I asked.
“Behind you” don’t look ” before she could complete what she wanted to say I already looked back.
“I told you not to look back,” she said hitting my hand lightly.
My eyes met the now familiar beautiful brown eyes. I wondered what he wanted while we maintained eye contact with each other.
who would break the staring contest I thought
Would I let him win this also? Definitely Not. He suddenly stood up and made his way to where Mabel and I were seated, I was surprised but still asked.
“What do you want?” I asked the brown-eyed demon.
“I should be asking you that darling” I’m jake what's your name?” he asked.
“None of your business” I responded.
He laughed lightly and I took my time to take his features in. His brown eyes were staring into my soul, the piercing on his nose and eyebrows, his flawless skin and beards, his hair. He was gorgeous quite alright.
“Hello, earth to Zaya,” Mabel said.
“Zaya hmm that's a nice name,” he said.
I stared at Mabel questionably.
“Sorry,” she said.
“I’ll see you around,” Jake said and he left.
“Why did you do that,” I said to Mabel after he had left.
“I’m sorry it was a mistake” she apologized again.
“It’s ok he would have found out anyways,” I said to her.
“Ouu does someone have a crush on the pretty boy” Mabel teased me.
“No,” I said.
“Ok if you say so lover girl” she continued teasing me.
The whole day was spent with Mabel teasing me about jake I can’t do anything to stop her when she gets like this so I just ignored her.
I spent the night thinking about jake and me wanting to see him again which surprised me
I didn’t think I was that kind of girl.
The next day at school, I found myself looking around wanting to see him but that mission failed badly. Because I didn’t see him neither did I for the next two weeks. I knew for a fact he hasn’t been in school because I asked around for him.
“Still looking for lover boy huh,” Mabel said to me.
“Stop calling him that!”
“Yes, it's like he vanished. What if something happened?” I said to her.
“I don’t know I’m not his keeper,” Mabel said.
What if something had happened I thought when suddenly I saw a tall figure standing in front of me.
“I heard you have been looking for me darling” jake said.
