Earlier in the day, Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Pablo Zuanic said he was surprised that it has taken this long for Constellation Brands to appoint a new CEO at Canopy, adding that there was more than a two-thirds probability to Constellation putting in a bid for Canopy in the near term.
Interesting article about how Constellation Brands Inc finance head David Klein will take over in January as chief executive officer. I've been selling a lot of covered calls on the whole cannabis sector, so a takeover of Canopy by Constellation would probably send the whole cannabis market higher, and me without a lot of shares. I guess I'm betting that tax loss selling will continue at least until the new year.....
