Introduction
VLC media player is one of the best media players in the world. It is the leading name in the world of media players. Vlc media boasts of many rich features such as subtitles, gesture on mobile phones and several codecs capable of playing virtually all media formats that currently exists.

Promoting open source projects was a passion that started with reviewing these projects as a moderator on utopian. Promoting these projects has been amazing. I have done several promotions for various projects which include steemit, steepshot, Dtube etc.

WHY I'M HELP THIS PROJECT GO VIRAL
A lot of users in Nigeria a not aware of this amazing media player, and most times they experience difficulty playing some media file formats. Promoting this project will create an awareness of a better media player that can solve that problem for them. Also this project aims at introducing more people to utilize the app.
Audience
My target audience for this promotion was people within the
AGE= 3-65 years old.
GENDER= Men & Women
LOCATION= Africa
POPULATION DENSITY= 190,000,000
This is my first campaign in bringing visibility to this project.
Activity
To reach the target audience stated above, I made a post on my Facebook page. The post contained information of what the software is about, it's features and it's benefits. For effective reachabilty I utilized the ads tool available on facebook and created an ad about the project.

Results
From the ads created I was able to reach a total number of 8,804 persons, had 13 posts clicks and quite a handful of engagements.

From the results it shows that more men were reached than women.
