A bitcoin dip makes a great dip in the cryptocurrency market. There may be various causes such as tether issues, but I think that the uncertainty of the market has simply resulted a great dip.
Of the two major uncertainties facing the cryptocurrency market, the bitcoin segwit issue resolved well last year. But then government regulation issues are creating uncertainty.
Now, it seems that the countries that are hostile to cryptocurrencies are responding to international cooperation. It is still a weak market that is dominated by bitcoin prices in Bitfinex.
