As a kid it was my dream to become a professional athlete. I used to be heavy into long distance running back then so guys like Mo Farah and Haile Gebrselassie were my child hood heroes. Since then I have gotten into cycling and my opinion on pro sport has changed quite a bit.
I don't envy pro cyclist as it is a cut throat job. You have to put your body and your health on the line and if you won't you simply are not going to get paid.
It is also impossible to be opinionated about something controversial otherwise your sponsors and team will drop you. I said in the video I don't respect pro athletes and I want to clarify I don't mean this in a bad way.
I just mean I treat them as normal human beings and not as God's. In that context I guess the word "respect" was the incorrect one so I apologize for that.
Would you ever like to go pro at a particular sport?
