POS is an advanced type of mining that eliminates the need for an energy-intensive device entirely. It achieves this by distributing the emission of new coins among the existing coin holders. Through staking, you make computer resources available to the network, which may select the node to generate the upcoming block onto the chain based on delimited competition. In the case of XON, these limits are defined by taking into consideration the staking balance of your wallet combined with every staking node trying to compete with eachother.
