Hello Hivers;

Today is just one of those low energy days of mine. I have been staring at my laptop for hours upon hours not knowing exactly what to write about.

When I finally feel like I have something that makes enough sense to write about, I only end up stopping halfway.

After the constant struggle, I decided to just write from my heart. A friend of mine once told me to express my feelings through my words(like I'm doing now), that it'd eventually come out right.

'Writer's block' is not something that I like to experience or deal with at any point in my life. I simply do not have the time for it.

Here's why; since quitting my full time job, I have turned to writing fully to sustain myself.

Besides writing on Hive, I work as a freelance writer, creating content for blogs and businesses on social media(Feel free to call me content writer extraordinaire, I am also available for gigs).

With so much on my plate, writer's block renders me rather unproductive, and that in turn makes me feel very bad about myself.

In the past, I didn't exactly know what this inability to write felt like. I mean, everything inspired me, nature, family, movies, friends, loneliness, love, life, food, literally everything.

Now, it's just different. I miss the days when my writing wasn't influenced by my mood; angry, sad, in love, emotional, it didn't matter. I knew what had to be done, and I got the job done.

A few days ago, a potential client sent me a 'test article task' just so he could see if I could get the job done. The task was sent to my mail in the morning, and the submission time was 4pm the same day.

The morning of the said day started on a bad note because I had a little disagreement with my closest female friend, and she was so angry at me.

I admit that it was my fault things got as bad as they did. I tried to make amends, I pleaded, but she wouldn't budge. Even now, we're still trying to work things out.

The conversation we had ended up messing me up, my emotions were all over the place and I couldn't get myself to do the task on time. I ended up submitting over one hour late, hence, my application was denied.

Mind you, it was for a good amount of money. I let my emotions get in the way. I don't want this to be the case ever again.

I do not know where the strong me who faced every challenge head on has gone, but I want her back.

That being said, what inspires you to write?

Do your moods get in the way of your content creation here on Hive?

How can I separate my emotions from the tasks at hand?

Thank you for reading, I look forward to your comments!
