Working with my best girl/muse has been not only fun but has offered a new way for us to do the things we love to do while keeping all the creative juices flowing. This poem was the first one we used to create a complimentary makeup look, which then led to us thinking even further and starting to do poetry/makeup combinations for some of our favorite locally brewed beers. So to avoid going on an all day rant I'll go ahead and share the poem.

I woke under a scarlet sun
A haze of airy, fragrance kept
Bent my will and left me spent
I woke inside a joyous note
Cleansed in woe as earthen tone
Plied my eye and left me low
I woke outside a still life dream
Threadbare words bespoke lament
After graves conceal my apt torment
