Hello beautiful people, thanks for visiting my blog and reading my weekend story, like I mentioned in my previous publication, I am more of a stay-at-home lady, I rarely have reasons to go out and have fun.
This weekend was a busy one for me, it is that type of weekend when you have guests over, these guests are older family members who just come to check up and see how I am fairing. Whenever I have these sets of guests around, it usually gets me super busy because I have to make sure that they eat properly during the visit.
When I am at home alone, I barely find the time to prepare proper meals for myself, I eat in little quantities and by the time I am done cooking, most times, I am usually unable to eat, the satisfaction I get, however, is when I have people I love around, I cook for them and they eat well to their satisfaction.
When they informed me of their visit I hurried to the market to get some ingredients, I made semovita, okra, and egusi soup for them, and by the time I finished preparing the meal, I hurriedly dished out to everyone without remembering to take pictures of the end product.
We saw a movie later that evening and it was a beautiful time to have important discussions and laugh about interesting activities.
They were to leave the following morning and I didn't want them to leave without eating anything I got up very early before them, made a simple meal of rice and beans and of course vegetable soup to blend with, they really loved it and they promised to come to visit again soon.
The few moments I get to spend with those I love are indeed very precious to me and I do not take them for granted at all, on this note, once again, my weekend was filled with an interesting activity of spending enough time in the kitchen and I loved it. A big shout-out to @galenkp and the entire admin in charge of this beautiful community for an opportunity to share my weekend experience.
