YOU CAN BE A BLESSING TOO
Yes, I mean it!!! You too can be a blessing. You may ask but how? I will explain what I meant, just follow me.
We often restrict the statement, Bless you, to being a response to when someone close by sneezes. The statement is much more huge and powerful than just being a response.
I want to talk about few ways of being a blessing.
You can be a blessing through your acts of love.
Showing love is more than just saying it passively, it's more than mere words. Showing love is about Action, act it out. Go out of your way to meet people's needs. It may be less than 40 cents you can afford, it is still something. I am sure you will find at least one person around who needs that help.
I can remember a day, I ate rice in the morning, same thing in the afternoon, and in the evening I was so reluctant to eat the same food. Then, I thought to myself,
some people would "die" to have what I felt I've had too much of.
Learn to give a helping hand.
Let me say this; that is exactly the way it is. You have a shirt you haven't worn in 7 months, a pair of pant trouser you have not worn in a year? I feel you do not need such clothing any longer, but I am sure there are people who do.
It doesn't have to be money, clothing or food.
It could be just your smile
Such smiles that can give hope and life to a dejected individual.
It could be just your greetings
Hello. How are you today?
The receiver could feel like "oh, really...? Someone actually cares about how my day is?"
It can be your handshake or a good hug
A kind of hug that makes an individual let go of "tension" and feel relaxed.
It can be your words of affirmation.
You look beautiful, You look smart, I like your shirt...
If you say this to me, I will want to look better the next day. It's a huge source of encouragement.
These are just few of the ways I feel you can be a Blessing to those around you.
I read somewhere and the writer said;
We should do what is right, do it because it is right and then do it right.
So, go all out and be a blessing to people and most importantly I want you to note that what you give out will definitely come back to you in multiple proportions!!!
