The bible teaches us that speaking in tongues is a spiritual gift from God. This is a language that we may not understand only God understands it. In Acts of the Apostles 2, the disciples spoke in different languages after receiving the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, allowing people from many nations to hear the message of God in their own languages.
We can also use speaking in tongues in prayer to communicate with God. In First Epistle to the Corinthians 14, the apostle Paul the Apostle explained that while this gift is valuable, it should be practiced with order and understanding, especially during public worship. If tongues are spoken in the church, interpretation should be given so that everyone can benefit.
