Does God want all bad things to happen?
From the teachings of Christians in the bible the answer is No God doesn't want bad things to happen. The Bible teaches that God is loving and good, and that He doesn't tempt people to do evil or take pleasure in suffering. Bad things are usually explained as coming from human sin, free will, and a broken world not from God's own desire. People chose to disobey God early on, and that choice brought pain, death, and disorder into the world.
God is a powerful living thing that can make life go easy for us. This has led to different views among Christians. Some traditions emphasize that God is fully in control of everything, including hard events, as part of a bigger plan. Others emphasize that God gives people real freedom, allows evil as a result, and then works to bring healing and good out of it rather than causing it directly.
