I am glad to share with you part of my vacation during my vegetable marketing in Panabo City Philippines. Last time I shared how abundantly the wet market looked. Now let us go see our vegetables section. We preferred this place because the farmer were dropping all their harvest from the mountain. Vegetables wholesaler from other place were also dropping here.

There was no big building yet. I knew even before that Paanabo had a big income and supposed to be having a bigger building. Panabo has its own fish farming and also banana plantation but the development of the place is too slow after of not living her for 25 years. I wondered why?

The market is just a walk distance from church, so the people who went to worship, they bought flowers for their altar. That is one of Christian or Catholic belief.

*These were the fruits that I missed and haven't eaten it for 10 years.

  • lanzones
  • Marang
  • Avocado
  • Jackfruit

Mangoes in the Philippines has the best delicious taste among all mangoes most especially the so called Mango from Cebu. Banana have a lot of varieties and only in my place I found it.

Feeling hungry

I decided to go to the nearest bakery, favorite bakery before I came Saudi Arabia and until now they are still alive and operating their bakeshop.

Those are my evermissed bread in town. Bread here is far beyond the reality of Filipino bread. So everytime I visit my country, everyday bread is one of our snack.

These were only the inside, under the roof vegetable market. There were a lot of people selling in retail/wholesale by only using a certain stuff to cover the the heat of the sun. People were doing for survival as a source of daily income. I am so proud to those people who did it and I was doing it before I came Saudi. I felt the heat of the sun before and I knew their feelings.😇😇😇

That's all for today and more stories in the coming days.

My honor to the initiator dswigle@dswigle and to my community asean.hive@asean.hive who are generously supporting our journey here.

Hive On!
