What so obsessed a man to hold
If in wanton desire its sins manifold
Heart and soul can twice be sold
In that direful love and lust for gold

So many are blinded by its glitter
And its curse a thousand bitter
When souls are ruined by its glister
Gripped in insatiable greed for luster

Scorn then its tantalizing brilliance
If man be found wantonly entranced
Should it catches your fancy by chance
Better a blind man than take a glance
