When the first humans disobeyed God, mankind became subject to death, and every person has inherited a mortal nature. Death reminds us that life on earth is temporary and that all people need God's mercy and salvation. Although death brings sorrow, the Bible teaches that God did not originally create humans to die forever.
But we should have in mind that death is not the end of everythin, God has a better plan for us after death. Through Jesus Christ, God offers the hope of resurrection and eternal life to those who believe and follow Him. This promise gives Christians comfort during times of grief and encourages them to live faithfully while looking forward to the day when God will finally defeat death forever.
