Steem and steemit are well again. Alive and kicking. We have a great dev team, witnesses and even better community. I didn't doubt for a second that they will sort things out.
Maybe I'm addicted but a day without posting, commenting and voting was kind of empty. My daily routine was disrupted and I'm glad that we're back on tracks.
Today I'll show you another miracle from Slovenia:
Postojnska Jama - Postojna Cave.
I definitely recommend you to read more about it on the internet.
Electric train drove us two kilometers deep into the mountain.
The river carved the underground tunnels 24 km long. If I remember right five of them are set for the tourists to visit them.
The lime formations are surreal and it took them millions of years to grow.
The entrance to the cave.
Some of the shots I enhanced with the editor for better visibility.
The cave is 80 meters below the surface. It has a constant temperature of 10 degrees Celsius all year round and humidity 95%.
Can you imagine how many years is needed to form a sculpture 5 meters high like this one just from the lime residue from the dripping water drops from the ceiling?
I think this one is the highest but I'm not sure.
The impressions are so overwhelming and when you exit the cave you head is dizzy and empty. You want to go back once more right away to take a better look but it's too late.
This is the last one for today.
Stay tuned for part two, my friends.
