I agree with you but you also need to think about this:
If this platform gets 1M daily users, how the manual curation will look like?
Or if we get posts in 10 different languages? How we'll know what is good and what not?
I have no idea but things will change with growth and I hope we'll be smart to find a proper way.
Changing curves and downvoting is not a solution as we clearly saw on Hive.
