After WW2 my father worked for the British Government and was assigned to many Commonwealth/Empire countries. We always went by ship, usually a freighter. This one, a Norwegian ship, is the one we came from Hong Kong to Canada in 1956. Travel was very elegant in those days and we always had dinner at the Captains Table.
