After my trip to Hong Kong in 2023, it feels amazing to travel once again. Traveling has always been an adventure for me as it offers me the chance to discover new places, experience diverse cultures, and make cherished memories. I had not traveled abroad for quite some time, so I am more excited to start on this journey.
This time, I am visiting Cambodia! I've always heard interesting stories about this country – about its historical depth, picturesque temples, exquisite cuisine, and genuine kindness. Visiting Angkor Wat is definitely something I’ve been looking forward to, given it's one of the world’s most iconic historical and cultural sites. I'm also keen to immerse myself in local Cambodian culture, taste their traditional meals, and get a glimpse of their everyday life.
Unlike my previous trip to Hong Kong, my travel to Cambodia does not have direct flights available. Therefore, I’ll be traveling on a connecting flight. Connecting flights do add to the overall duration and, at times, the hassle of traveling, but they can be an intriguing aspect of the journey too. It gives me an opportunity to experience another city even if just for a few hours and enhances the appreciation for the journey itself.
The preparation process for this trip has been exhilarating. I’ve been researching visa requirements, finalizing my itinerary, and making sure I’m equipped for the departure. Even packing my bags triggers that sense of anticipation that only international travel can provide.
I hope that my trip to Cambodia turns out to be fun, insightful, and remarkable. It offers me a welcome break from my usual routine and exposes me to a completely new environment. As I travel internationally after my Hong Kong excursion in 2023, I’m thankful for the opportunity to explore another nation and anticipate creating indelible memories by discovering its rich cultural heritage and meeting its warm people.
