It was a bit of a busy day much like any other day with errands to run and things to do. We went to our local Kubota dealer to get some measurements. I really need a small tractor to work on my lake lot; specifically lots and lots of stump grinding to do. I want to stay under the 25HP threshold so I wont have to fool around with adding DEF fluid for the emissions. May I just say friends, they are certainly getting top dollar these days for a little diesel tractor! Ouch!

That sure is an expensive piece of steel! Really quite a small machine. Not that I am used to huge tractors, but still smaller than my old Massey 245.

Here is a shot of mom and my old tractor. It was a good runner and never gave me an issue.

Speaking of mom, I remember listening to the AM radio in her old Chevy. She would go in the local Farmer Jack store for some groceries, and I would love to tune in all of about three different channels lol. It was 1976 and I was the wonderful age of ten. I remember a song coming on that talked about a big freighter than sank up on Lake Superior. Of course it became pretty famous by the late, great Gordon Lightfoot. The ship was the over 700 foot ore carrier, the Edmund Fitzgerald. It wasnt until my son reminded me that today was the day it sunk back in 1975 when all 29 of the crew sadly perished. May they all Rest In Peace.
