Writing at 4am from a cheap hotel in West Virginia...
Possibly it was always in my bones. Maybe it was from Daddy always describing to me as a little boy how awesome his farmhome was down South? Could it be from hearing about life in the Southland from all of those old country tunes I was raised on? Surely hearing Gramps often talk longingly about going back "home" even after living in Michigan for 50 years played a big part. I believe it was a little bit of all the above that brought about this day. For the first time in my life, I am not a resident of Michigan. Regardless, by God, I am southern bound.
