My mother
My priceless jewel
An incomparable being
The one who's always there
When nobody seems to be
She faced death so that I can live
She starved so that i can feed
She denied herself for me to sleep
Oh! Her tears when I'm seriously sick
Oh mom! You're definitely an incomparable being
You've always been my breath
The spine of my bones
And on your prayers I live
On the path of your advice I thread
Oh! To your warnings I'll always heed
My love for you can't be measured
Dear mom, you'll always be my treasure
Whether I'm around or ashore
I'll strive for your well being with pleasure
Oh mom! You're so an incomparable creature.
Stars on earth
Are the ones who defy death
So we can live
For our wellbeing, their all they'll gladly give
They are the gods in the skin of humans
Mothers to both man and woman
Their love for us is beyond what mouth can say
And their prayers save us from harm's way
They sacrifice their happiness for us to have all
Was there when we took our first step to fall
Stood watch at night for us to have sound sleep
Oh! Our affection in their heart is so deep.
Days they carry us on their backs in the scorching sun
For us, days they deny themselves reasonable fun
Despite their ugliness, they make our heart beautiful
Oh! These ones are nothing but wonderful
I pray their stars keep twinkling
How valuable they are, lo! we have no inkling.
Mothers are the stars on earth
Though they are ordinary, second to none is their worth
They are like the diamonds in the gutter
To treat 'em right, it's a shame some of us falter
They are our shooting stars
Oh! What a beautiful mighty god they are.
