Twilight is nigh
and the hopes of my dreams are high.
If my worlds will align
that that brightness in my head
will translate the dark of this world,
illuminate it as day
so that the gallops of my horse
will go on till I reach my dream.
But if Providence says "not yet",
that the shine in me must incubate.
Then I shall tie my horse's rein
I will wait and learn,
feed my head and my dreams
until they grow big enough to be birthed.
I will wait and not be scared,
even on dark days,
I will wait, teach my eyes to adapt
sit patiently till I hear "go".
And when I do,
I will run, gallop as fast as the wind would carry me
because strength won't fail me here,
because my waiting had equipped me
both with capacity and flight beyond the stars.
Althea.
One of my many babies that I always help in how to write poems, edit for her and encourage her with her writing shared this with me this morning and with her permission, she asked me to share this and I feel so proud. Her name is Promise and her nickname for writing is Althea. Let her know what you think of this brilliant poetry she just shared with me. I'm buzzing.
