This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.
Title: Freezing morning walk
I get up very early on weekdays. A standard morning routine and I’m ready for a walk. It was very cold and icy. After only a few steps, I came across a frozen puddle. Air bubbles were trapped in the ice, while the wind formed a wavy structure.
There is no one outside but me. Only a few footprints on the frozen ground.
I went out of the village passing by the woods. Although it looks muddy, everything is icy and hard.
As I walk down the field roads, I come across an abandoned truck. It seems spooky from a distance.
Opposite it, wavy fields are disappearing into the horizon. That's where I headed.
A hare sits motionless on the plowed land. The first animal I came across after an hour of walking. Okay, I'm not alone.
The only thing that disturbs the silence is the squeak of the snow under my feet.
On the way back I came across an open frozen shell.
After the walk, I refreshed myself with hot tea.
