Title: BW flies
It rains frequently in May, and this month is currently the wettest since the start of the year. High humidity combined with a steady increase in temperature is beneficial for insect reproduction. Various types of flies are the most numerous. And the infestation of these black flies is particularly concerning since they lay eggs in onions and spinach, causing the larvae to ruin the crops.
At the moment, there is nearly no plant on which flies cannot be found. They are perfect for photographing before the rain or on a gloomy, cold day because they calm down on the leaves.
During the tour of the garden and orchard, I am happy to photograph them if there is not too much work to do.
