I finally took control over the kitchen from two women, and prepare a lunch. Although I like to cook, I don't often have the opportunity to do it. I rarely take photos while cooking, but yesterday I took my camera and documented everything.
All the ingredient for this meal except oil, flour, cheese and spices are from my garden. The meal has no name but there are three separate prepared dishes: the veggie (zucchini) burgers, French fries and and stewed pepper with tomatoes. I usually don't follow recipes, I prepare food roughly, but I will still try to make it easier for you by explaining the process and the amount of ingredients I used to prepare this meal.
This dish is easy to prepare, but it will take some time to prepare and cut the ingredients.
Veggie burgers
This is something I love to eat and is very easy to prepare. For two people you will need one medium zucchini, half an onion, one medium carrot, a slice of feta cheese, an egg, flour (wheat and corn) and spices.
Cut half an onion into small pieces, peel (or not) the zucchini and grate it. Clean and grate the carrot. Mix all the ingredients in one bowl, add salt and let it stand for ten minutes. After that, squeeze the mixture well and add pepper, ground paprika, parsley, basil, one egg and mix well. While mixing, alternately add wheat and corn flour until the mass becomes sticky and does not spread. Let it stand again for ten minutes.
Remove the mixture from the bowl with a spoon and fry in hot oil until golden brown on both sides.
French fries
Four medium red potatoes are enough for two people. Peel the skin and cut the potatoes into thin strips, which are then fried in heated oil in a pan.
Stewed pepper with tomatoes
This is something I could eat for days. It goes well with meat, potatoes or eggs. For two people, you need one onion, about a kilo of peppers, half a kilo of tomatoes, and spices. We grow several types of peppers and tomatoes in the garden so I mixed the types, but you can put whatever you have.
Finely chop the onion and fry it until it becomes glassy. After that, add the pepper cut into strips and season well. Let it cook in the oil until the pepper is soft. After that, add the tomatoes and stir occasionally until the tomatoes melt. Add ground pepper, oregano and basil and the dish is ready.
