It seems that everyone knows the Cocor Bebek plant with the scientific name Kalanchoe pinnata. This is a type of ornamental plant that reproduces by leaf buds. This plant is easy to grow in the yard of the house, especially in a place that is not exposed to direct sunlight.
Currently there are various types of cocor Bebek plants along with the development of the agricultural world. Previously in my area there were only one or two types of this type of plant. But now there are various types, from the rather wide leaves to the small ones with quite beautiful flowers.
This cocor Bebek plant is not only an ornamental plant but has been used by our parents as a medicinal plant to treat several diseases such as fever and cough. But now the habit of using cocor duck leaves as medicine is starting to be abandoned, perhaps because of the increasing number of medicines being sold in pharmacies.
Still fresh in my memory when I had a fever, my parents used cocor duck leaves as a fever medicine. They took some cocor Bebek leaves and crushed them to stick to my temples and then bandaged them. Meanwhile, to treat coughs they boil it, and the boiled water is drunk to treat coughs.
