As far as life itself is concerned, there are many questions we want to ask and wish we could get answers to. There are many whys we want to know, but there is no one who can give us the right answer. Why are we even here on earth in the first place if we are going to die after all this stress and hustle? Why do we have to work so hard just to pay our bills, and what is our purpose here on earth? Are we just here to pay bills? Are we just here to work and work until the day we die?
The truth is that the minds of many people have been clouded with the thought that all they need to do while they are here on earth is to work and work and work, pay bills, and do nothing else. Some people are just alive and breathing, but they are not actually living their lives. Some people's lives are like a rinse-and-repeat kind of thing: wake up in the morning, take a bath, have breakfast, and off to work until evening. They come back tired and exhausted, and they just look for a way to get some rest without doing anything else, and then the next day they follow the same pattern. At this point, with this lifestyle, they live for the bills and not for themselves or their family.
Don't live for the bills; live your life too while paying your bills. No doubt, money is an important factor in our lives. It makes affording a lot of things in our lives possible, and without it, the possibility of affording the life that we dream of becomes impossible. But that also does not justify living for the bills only without actually living your own life. Aside from work, have something that gives you purpose, something that gives your life meaning, and this can be anything. There is actually more to life than just bills. There is more to life than just work and work. There is way more to life than we can actually think of, but many around us and those before us have painted a picture where we only live for the bills.
There was a time I felt like it should just be about work and work, as there are bills to pay, but trust me, it affected me badly when the time came and I had already ruined some friendships and relationships with distance since I was focusing on work and bills. You just have to find something that gives you purpose, something you want to actually live for, and it is not the bills because if you live for the bills, you are not actually living; rather, you are just breathing.
For me, we are not just here on earth to work and pay bills. We are here to live and make memories that will last long even after we are gone, and if you focus on bills, you cannot make those memories. We are not here to only work; we are also here to leave our mark, and focusing on bills only does not cut it.
