Hello, everyone.
Welcome to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learners' featured post. The year was hard, with difficulties everywhere, but there's no one out there who will boldly say they did not achieve anything, no matter how small. We all had our little achievements we are most happy about.
At the beginning of the year, we all had goals we planned to achieve, and as the year went by, we worked hard to achieve these goals. It wasn't easy, but some goals were achieved, and some are still being worked on as we still have a few days before we bid the year goodbye.
These little achievements are what we will use to remember the year 2022. Many of us involved in online activities had both online and offline goals to pursue; this added an extra load. We strived so hard to achieve these goals, and as God will have it, some of our dreams became realities and some remained dreams, but God willing, next year we will surely achieve the ones we could not achieve this year.
At the beginning of this year, 2022, I made a post sharing my goals for the year. It was a bumpy ride, but I'd be unthankful to say I was not blessed in this year. No matter how little, I am still grateful to God that I was able to achieve some of my goals.
My Hive Power: At the beginning of this year, I had 43 hive powers. As a newbie who just joined the platform and doesn't know how to navigate it, I knew setting goals was a way to attain greatness on the platform. I set a goal of achieving at least 500 hive power before the end of the year. Achieving goals comes with a heavy load. I got involved with the hive learners community, and today I can brag of having over 500 hive power of my own.
Family House: it has been one of my dad's dreams to own a house where we all can enter and call home when we go to the village. Hard times have hindered that dream for so long, but this year was a blessing to both him and the entire family. In August, the foundation of the house was laid, but it did not end there, as God has been faithful, and the house is currently at the roofing level. There's still lots of work to do, but we are so happy with how far the work has gone. 2022 marked the beginning of everything, and we are grateful to God.
- A Certified Graphics Designer: I am one of those Nigerians who regrets not having the opportunity to learn a trade, but that did not stop us from learning other things. ASUU offered me an opportunity to learn something; the world is going digital, so I decided to learn graphic design. During the eight-month strike, I enrolled in a graphics design class, and four months later I was given my certificate.
