Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog. Every day when I wake up, one of my prayer points is that I never have a reason to visit the bank because the bank is one of those places you can visit if you want to spoil your mood or have a bad day. It is very hard to visit the bank in this part of the world and come out smiling, and for that reason, I pray not to have any reason to visit the bank. My prayers were answered when fintech companies like OPay and Palmpay came into existence. I switched from the use of our traditional banks to the use of these fintech systems of banking.

Sometimes it feels like our traditional banks enjoy annoying customers, and fixing a minor issue can leave you visiting the bank every day for weeks, if not for months. Sometimes they tell you they have a network downtime and you are forced to come back another day, sometimes they just keep you waiting and end up not attending to the issue, sometimes they have very rude and saucy workers who talk to customers rudely and anyhow, leaving the customer regretting ever banking with the particular bank.

Dealing with our traditional banks can be really stressful and mentally draining and whenever you have a bank issue you just have to brace for impact because it is going to be a very long ride, doubt I have ever had a nice experience at the bank and for that reason even when I have bank issues if they can be overlooked or by passed I always opt in to by pass until I no longer can or feel the need or now have the energy to face the stress that comes with visiting our traditional banks.

My first bank account ATM card was tampered with way back in 2022, at first it went missing and I overlooked it but it turned out who took it was someone close and started using the card to make withdrawals and I was forced to block it, despite the fact my daily transaction limit was automatically reduced to 20,000 naira daily I still accepted it that just so I don't have to cost the bank to request for a new ATM card, the transaction limited affected me and the people I deal with but everyone had to beat with me.

If it were a fintech company like I said earlier, I would have just requested one online, and it would have been delivered to me with ease and with little or no stress, which is what puts fintech banks ahead of our traditional banks. I finally made up my mind to get the problem fixed and now it has been two weeks of going to the bank and it has been same old story, network downtime and they will ask everyone who is there for ATM card problem to leave and come back at a particular time only to come back and hear same thing, they ruin your whole day just to fix a single problem making it look like you have no other important things to do.
