Years ago in varsity Carla met a boy, she fell in love with him but he did not feel the same way about her, because he had fallen in love with her roommate Beverly, whom he met through Carla the girl he saw as a friend, Carla was driven crazy by the need to feel love from Tex, but still remained friends with Tex and Beverly with the hope that one day they might break up and that she will be his next choice but Tex and Beverly were seriously in love and got engaged and in no time they were married. On their wedding night Carla was devastated and wanted to do something that could possibly end their marriage so she sent two armed man to their home because she was jealous and felt betrayed by the both of them especially Tex whom she strongly believes that is her soul mate. Carla stages a long term con to have him to herself, so after Tex fell in love with Beverly instead of Carla in varsity, Carla dedicated her life to getting back what she lost in varsity, through being a fake friend to Beverly while trying to sabotage her marriage in any way possible.
Tex and Beverly have a huge secret that they both prefer to keep away from their friends and leave them in suspense as to why they no longer want to sleep with each other and the secret is that Beverly was raped in front of his eyes and ever since the horror Beverly went through it looks like Tex took it the hardest as he now feels less of a man when he is with her because he could not protect her from the rapists, he could decide to leave her and find his manhood with another women but he cannot picture his life without her so in order to save their marriage they decide to have an open marriage because he could no longer find it in himself to satisfy Beverly without having a picture of the man that violated her in his head, Tex always thought that the attack was Random, because he dint have any enemies that he knew of not knowing that the same person he thought was a friend unto him and his wife is the same person that caused the attack to happen. Tex never forgot the rapists faces so when he became a successful business man he went after the two man that raped his wife because they were never brought to justice by the law, he wanted to bring them to Justice himself thinking that this will bring him closure by having them murdered by Dexter whom was led to believe that both man were a threat to his business that is why they had to be removed.
