When you're living life in the heart of the city, you never really have access to a lot of green scenic areas. It's probably the same case for 8 out of 10 cities in the world. But what makes Dhaka stand out, is the capability to somehow "withstand" both the rapidly increasing population and pollution. It's like most of the people born and raised here have some sort of an in-built iron lung and air filter inside of them, because the air pollution is so bad here, sometimes you can literally see it lol.

New Hot Pot Experiences 🍜 With A Surprisingly Shot Drink #DashOutSunday
There was a time my "stanko" (Surinamese street lingo for closest friends) friends and I used every excuse possible to go and have something to eat, be it (National) Holidays, birthdays, graduations, you name it. With careers, starting family's and some of us moving abroad, the regular outings became less frequent. None the less, we can still find an excuse or two to grab a bite.

I'm sharing these photos and this post here, as a genuine attempt to speak to everything as medicine - which in turn makes it natural medicine; the above snap was taken as I was painting directly with my hands on the wall of my studio space in the Glasgow School of Art - probably in 1994. I was around 20 years old, and I am now precisely 50 years since my co-creative conception: a lot has happened in my life since then, and I'm able to look back on that time with new eyes, as to the burden I was carrying - I can see now that I was primed and tense with chaos, and was using my creative energy, though expressively, as a means of wrestling with the system (via art institution and living in the city for the first time: very ungrounded and reactionary).

Curiously, July 21, 2010, was Wednesday like today. This can of Savoy chocolates warns that the product had to be consumed before that date, and of course, by then, not a single one of the delicacies inside the container had been left alive.

Since I was a child I have been taught that food should not be wasted, but in the last 10 years I have assumed more responsibility and if we are responsible both in the food we consume and with the rest of the things we all benefit.

Today I decided to bring you something different, perhaps, from what you usually see in my posts. Since in addition to being a very big achievement for me, it also involved many intrinsic things that I will tell you about shortly. In fact, I somehow think my head has been putting off writing about this, as it comes across as a situation with dual feelings.

In this opportunity I want to share a tip for all of you that I am sure will be of great help and you will like it, recently a friend was telling me that she washed some white sneakers and they stained yellow something that usually happens but we wash them in the right way, personally I love this type of sneakers the bad thing is that they get dirty a lot and so I decided to show you the way I wash them and the truth I have had very good results because my sneakers have not lost their white color.

Hello everyone. Zak here from Cape Town, South Africa with another gardening update. My veggie garden project uses a lot of recycle/upcycled materials and this is meant to give it a sustainable effect, not spending too much money on it, but spending a bit of time in my garden with my kids, which is therapeutic!

When I used to have a lot of time in my hands; I used to make some handicrafts and one of them is making plush toy keychains then I gave them away for free when Christmas comes. Unfortunately I stop making those giveaways because of some inevitable circumstances.Today I'll share the step by step procedure on how I create plush toy keychains made of felt fabrics.

All through school I grew it long probably because that's what "good little girls" were (and probably still are) taught to do. I loved my hair. I loved plaiting it and loved having it in braids. One day, age 11, after mum braided my hair enough times that I knew what it felt like and after seeing what the result looked like in other people's hair I taught myself to braid my own hair.
