For years, I have heard that we are constantly selling: ideas, products, services, projects, image, content creation, and the list goes on when you search the internet. Just today I asked myself this question, and although it seems easy, it took me a while to answer. At this point in my life, I am not one for lies. What do I want to sell? Honesty and consistency. Perhaps “sell” isn't the right word when it comes to values, because this condition is very deep and intimate, but since behavior and actions speak louder than intentions, I'll share with you how my commitment to health and sports is going in 2026.

Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community! Today I'm joining you to share a new post about my life in the classroom. This time, the Drawing Workshop is taking a trip back in time to dress up as figures from the Renaissance, Baroque, Realism, Romanticism, and Impressionism. In our second Art History class, I decided the students would do a fun activity to help them start remembering some of these artists. The activity consisted of recreating paintings by various artists, dressing, posing, and imitating everything seen in the paintings. Of course, composition was important, so before we began, we also reviewed what composition is.

This is my contribution to the initiative proposed by@mipiano for this month. A proposal that may go down in history. I have no doubt that the participating publications will be studied by future generations... pens will be a subject of study for archaeology... For this reason, I invite all hivers to participate (we must help science).

Una visita al Callejón de Hamel/A Visit to Hamel Alley (Esp-Eng)
I arrived early, while they were still cleaning before opening to the public—that was the plan. I wanted to take good photos that captured the beauty of the place. I know a bit of Havana, but I wasn’t familiar with the explosion of colors that is Hamel Alley. You don’t just arrive at Hamel—you immerse yourself in it. It’s as if the very heart of Africa, brought to Cuba through suffering, had found here, in this corner of the Cayo Hueso neighborhood, a way to beat with more strength, more color, more truth, more life.

If there is one thing I am sure of, it is that love saves us and heals us. It's incredible how this simple ingredient can change our surroundings. Love is key in a teaching environment. When I was a child, I had a teacher who treated me with a lot of love, and that significantly impacted my life, especially my performance as a student. Very rarely does one learn through yelling and harsh words. Music is the language of love. There are melodies that caress our soul and become tied to our being. It is in those moments of happiness that we remember them. I remember one time, on my way to school, I passed a street and saw a woman dancing in front of her house to a popular song of the time. She was in her happiest moment; you could feel it. And that is the power that music has—to save us and heal us. It lifts us, captivates us, and shakes us out of sadness. I hope you enjoy this performance.

I have been wanting for some time to visit a place in my neighborhood, a church, built many years ago when this town was beginning to emerge, which is very close to where I live. This church is popularly known as the Church of Arroyo Arenas, the name it shares with the place where it was erected, and it is consecrated to Jesus.

The year started off quite eventful for me, a rollercoaster of emotions, feelings, and events, both in the country and within my family. Sometimes you just can't understand how so much can happen in such a short time... I even heard someone say that January is going by really fast, and I think that's exactly how it feels because of so many events. As a Venezuelan, I think I've experienced days filled with news, fear, hope, uncertainty, disbelief, faith, anger, and joy... So many feelings, so much information, that even now, days after the main event, many things are still happening that keep us attentive and alert.
On a personal level, my mother-in-law has been in poor health and deteriorating rapidly. This illness has reopened old wounds, bringing the family closer together but also driving us apart. There have been moments of intense anger and financial despair. We've had to take on responsibilities, and our lives have been turned upside down.

It's true that two people see more than one; at least that's what practice and popular wisdom confirm. In recent days, I was able to verify this when I went out to do street photography with a fellow photographer,@ilianis. She has a slightly more sensitive eye than mine when it comes to composition and some technical resources, and she gave me tips that came in handy.

For week number 302, with the theme "Good Luck", I want to share a humble interpretation of the song "Para Bien o Para Mal" by the Guatemalan singer-songwriter Ricardo Arjona. I chose this song mainly because of its message, which I have related to the weekly theme, as we can see how a worn-out love reaches its end, and the author sees this as a positive event. I think that when a love is agonizing and shows toxic and negative traits, having it end once and for all could be a stroke of good luck, as it frees us from a destructive, exhausting, and dark process. Of course, the breakup will leave behind a trail of pain, nostalgia, and melancholy, but it truly is the end of something harmful to make way for a new adventure. Having the opportunity to reinvent ourselves and discover new emotions is undoubtedly also a sign of good luck, since often the right conditions to want to free ourselves do not arise, and many times we remain clinging to the most painful parts.
