I changed out some cards from last weekend after discussing with the originator of the deck on Reddit and I was finally able to get 17 wins! One of the things I want to highlight for this deck is that it uses all 3 God Powers depending on your opponent; this will be discussed in the Mulligan/God Power section. That’s 5 Gods done and 1 left (Deception) to finish off this gauntlet challenge!! :)

When I bought him, I was overwhelmed with the idea of combining Merrick with buffed Whisper Barons. I imagined having a huge double hit that takes half the health of the opponent's god. Almost a button that makes you win 😀

I haven't done a giveaway in a few months; therefore, I thought I would do one centering amazons. Why amazons? Because after the Core set refresh, amazons have been heavily pushed by the GU Devs. Not to mention three out of five cards revealed in the mortal judgment set are amazons. All the cards given away are from my collection.

There are 12 different tribes that creatures can fall into or neutral, which doesn’t have text at the bottom. The tribes are Aether, Amazon, Anubian, Dragon, Guild, Mystic, Nether, Olympian, Structure, Viking, and Wild. This matters because some cards benefit a specific tribe, like Penthesilian Warrior buffs your strongest other Amazon, so with a critical mass of tribe synergy cards, you can build a strong tribal deck.

After my humiliating 10-win Weekend Ranked run, I was down to Auric Gold and needed a way to climb back to Mythic fast before the weekend started. Currently, the cheapest and fastest way to climb the ladder is just to play Light - and so I did. However, I didn't want to just play any Light deck - I wanted to show my flair and try something new. So I put on my lab coat and decided to explore a mostly-forgotten mechanic of the Light faction - the Chosen One mechanic. Surprisingly, the deck performed pretty well, although I'd attribute most of that to the strength of Light decks in the current meta.

Last week we had about 38,000 active players. That's not bad when you compare that number to last year, but since the end of the BOTG event, we've had a decreasing number of active players. Even the core set refresh couldn't prevent this. I'm hoping player counts will pick up when we have the new Mortal Judgment set and a daily GODS earning method.
