Who Am I?

In contemporary age, the word 'disability' has been misinterpreted and subjected to severity of misconceptions.
The world we are today have neglected the valid fact that, there are still abilities in every disabled person - as it is believed that everyone is got God-given talent(s) that can be harnessed in making a living. Just like an average regular person, individuals with disabilities have varying talents residing in them as well (albeit, their talents tend to be latent many a time owing to impairments).
Before I take you on a journey of in depth research to instill more knowledge and have a better understanding of the word 'disability', I am Akinlade Oluwatobi Samuel, an astute writer, researcher and studious student of the Department of Special Education and Rehabilitation Sciences, in the premier University of Ibadan. I was encouraged into joining by my very good friend 
One thing I have always observed is the lack of proper understanding and orientation of the enormous qualities possessed by people with one disability or the other, and the immense values they contribute to the society.
My interests also revolve around technological advancement, healthy living, with a smattering of Science thrown in. I am obviously not an island of knowledge in these aspects, but the passion to research more on them, keeps me going everyday.
I hope to be welcome into Steemitland, and publish resourceful and relative posts in my area of interests, which would in turn add more value and positive change to esteemed Steemians.
