So here is the second part of that macaroon thing. I know that you guys will probably say that macaroons only come into one shape- round ones. But things are changing these days. And for me, as long as they are made the same way, with the same traditional ingredients but came out in different shapes, they are still macaroons.
I don't even know why am I discussing macaroons today. But, I am very passionate about them. I love eating them( the actual macaroons).
To start with the design, I made a bear one.
You guys are familiar with this picture. Well, this is how it turned out.
I have other cookie cutters as well. Just for the sake of saying this, I am only using these cutters exclusively on my clay crafting. I do not use them to make/ shape my cookies( actual, edible ones).
I started by cutting the cat shape.
Make the basic cat detail. For this part, I made two pieces.
On this part, you can choose to start cutting the filling with white clay( shown on the next picture) or, you can just decorate the macaroon shell. It does not make any difference.
Here are other shapes that I made.
To make the duck, I started by making this.
And this is how I made my textured macaroons.
I have a host of stamps-they are not exclusively for my air dry clay.I use them with polymer clay as well.
So let's make one basic shape.
Stamp the clay.

Then use a cookie cutter to create the shape and detail.
Sideways.
On this part,if you wanted to create an "animal or in this case fish" macaroon, just repeat the whole process.
Let's do another shape since I was very enthusiastic with it.....
A closer look to the pieces I made:
