First round of Wimbledon starts tomorrow and there are a couple of opportunities here and there. I notice that some of the odds are terrible compared to the first round of the French Open. Here are two that look half-decent that i'll take on a parlay.
Djokovic to win Kohschreiber. The German has been on a poor run of form with three straight first round losses and is nowhere near the player he once was. Coasting on his former glory, he hasn't even played a warm-up grass tourney according to the data i've seen. Djokovic hasn't played a grass tourney either but i'm sure his team would have done a better prep. At 1.03, this is slim pickings but i think should win easy.
Wawrinka to win Bemelmans. World number 19 vs World number 171. Wawrinka may have slowed down a bit and the grass surface does suit Bemelmans' play but i think Wawrinka has enough guile to get past the big server. 1.20 does look like fair odds and so i'll take a Wawrinka ML as part of the parlay.
