It has only been one match but for all the fanfare of signing Messi, PSG were held by Brugge to a 1-1 draw.
It'll take some time for the team to gel and this just goes to show you that throwing money at the problem isn't going to solve things. Just ask Real Madrid and their Galacticos.
PSG will probably win the French League but it is hard to see them winning the Champion's League. Bayern and Man City have to be the favorites. Both are playing like real teams.
Another point is also Messi's game hasn't changed unlike Ronaldo who has become a poacher which suits his advancing age. Messi's still a great talent but as we saw with Ronaldinho, eventually that slow-down comes and if you don't adapt then you just become a bag of tricks with little end product.
Wijnaldum was another player I was looking out for. A big fan from his Liverpool days but his debut was a little lackluster. The Mbappe injury will also be cause for concern but maybe it is for the best. Too many cooks spoil the broth.
