You have to feel for Minamino and Tsimikas. Both players didn't get much playing time last season due to Liverpool's bad performance all around the pitch.
Klopp's reason for not playing Minamino was that he was too short and would be a set-piece liability. Hilarious but it also meant we missed out on his creativity up the pitch. Something that's lacking with the mechanical Mane, Firmino and Salah.
Tsimikas on the other hand was kept out by Andy Robertson's performances and also because without the stability of Van Dijk and Gomez, some stability at the back was needed.
Looking at the two of them play, especially in their last pre-season game, I think if Liverpool get off the ground running, Klopp might be feeling confident enough to give them both more playing time.
