Kerber has been on a roll this week and she's now up against Ons Jabeur - a player who is able to beat the best of them but also capable of shocking defeats against lower ranked players. These type of no consistency players are so hard to bet on and bet against.
Jabeur was lucky to get past Cornet in the last round. It looked like Cornet would waltz through after taking the first set 6-1 but she then went on to lose a tight second set before self-destructing in the third.
Kerber, meanwhile, was impressive against Halep. Beating her in straight sets should really help her confidence and fatigue levels in the semi-finals.
Picking Kerber today at 1.18. Seems fair enough.
