They played nowhere near their best and could only muster a draw at full time. Then the match went to penalties which is really a coin-toss.
11-10 it finished and I guess that's why you don't want goalkeepers taking penalties with David de Gea not scoring his. Such a sad end to his time at United as well.
United still looking for their first major trophy and finishing second in both major competitions isn't bad but definitely not the sort of standards expected of United.
It will be interesting if they can build on this, especially with a revitalized Chelsea and Liverpool expected.
