Can you see what that is in the picture? At first my daughter thought is was a small snake as it slithered by her foot. It turned out to be a long, agile and fast earthworm. I’ve seen them come out after rains but never moving across the surface in the woods like this. I’ll add the video later.
The woods was where we ended up after our walk this afternoon. There a small old cellar hole or something on our property that we were checking out. One day we will do an excavation on it. In the meantime the worms apparently love it!
